The Carousel House will be offering some very exciting and fun programs that may be beneficial to the disabled community ages 16 and older.

Stuart Greenberg Special Populations Basketball League

Special Population Basketball will be held on Monday evenings beginning October 17th and concludes February 27th. All participants must be at least 16 years of age or older. All participants must have an understanding of basketball. There is no fee for the program and all new participants are provided a uniform. The program runs from 6:30- 8:30 PM. Please note: If you were registered last season and did not play in at least 50% of the scheduled games, you will not be eligible to play this season. Due to the limited spots available, registration will only be accepted until October 11th, after October 11th players will be placed on a waiting list.


Ceramic classes will be held on Mondays from 7:00-8:00 PM starting Monday, October 17th and will conclude in late May. The fee for the entire program is $300.00 per person (supplies included). Class size is limited to 12.

Dance Fit

Come out and learn the latest line dances and have fun while exercising. Must be physically able to participate in this class. We will be offering two 10 week sessions. Classes will be held on Mondays from 7:00- 8:00 PM October 17th-December 19st and March 13th-May 15th.The cost per session will be $25.00 per person. Class size is limited to 15 students.

Music Lessons

Tuesday evenings bring the beautiful sounds of music and singing to Carousel House. Through the Settlement Music School, we are able to offer superior lessons in singing and rhythm instruments. The program will be held on Tuesdays from 7:00-8:00 PM and will begin October 11th and end in late May. The fee for music lessons will be $100.00 per person. Class size is limited to 20.

Arts & Crafts Classes

Classes will be held on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:00 PM beginning October 12th and will end in late May. The fee for the entire program will be $150.00 per person (supplies included). Class size is limited to 25 students.

Thursday Night At The Movies

This program features recent movies. The movie will start every Thursday at 7:00 PM and will end between 8:30 and 9:00 PM. A nominal fee of $1.00 is charged per person and includes a hot dog, popcorn and drink. Staff must pay also. Movie Night begins Thursday, September 29th – NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED.


The Carousel House aquatics department offers Swim time for individuals, groups, and schools. Please call 215.685.0160 for details.
Prior to using the pool, all participants must have Carousel House’s medical form filled out and signed by a physician. (The form is available at our website:

Exercise Room

Available to all people with disabilities, ages 16 and over. All universal type equipment is wheelchair accessible. Other equipment includes free weights, treadmill, exercise bike and hand bike. A medical release is needed for use of the exercise room. See above. Yearly membership is $15.00.

If you are interested in any of the above programs, please fill out the attached form. Registration is on a first come first served basis. Note the limited class sizes so register early.
